Defensive Driving Courses are specifically designed to enable an existing licence holder gain the necessary skills and knowledge required to foresee any likely dangers or potential problems. Drivers that undertake regular driving assessments or defensive driving courses are less likely to be involved in accidents that could be avoided due to driver error.

Candidates are taught to perfect existing skills whilst being disciplined in any areas that would benefit further from instruction. Most accidents that occur in Large Goods Vehicles are avoidable, even if it is not that driver's fault. Drivers will learn to avoid the dangers created by other road users who have less skill and less professional attitudes.

During the course drivers are taught the serious nature of defensive driving. These categories are broken down into the following categories

. Forward Planning
. Observation
. Effective use of mirrors
. Aggression - Attitude to other road users
. Vehicle Sympathy
. Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving

Acquiring mental discipline whilst driving is paramount for professional drivers in reducing accidents and minor incidents on the road today.

Company Assessments - Defensive Driving

Driver Reports for candidates attending the training on behalf of a company will be sent direct to the Company. Please note that the company will receive a full and frank assessment of the drivers ability and attitude of the day.

Training can be delivered using either our own training vehicles or alternatively the Drivers own vehicle.
