Before applying for your provisional licence you will need to check that you are old enough to hold the entitlement. Age restrictions are clearly marked on the vehicle category table.lnk

Depending on the category of licence you wish to gain, you may be required to pass a medical examination first. Enterprise can organise this on your behalf or alternatively you can book an appointment with your own Doctor.

After the Doctor has completed the D4 Medical Report Form you can then apply for your Provisional Entitlement for your chosen category.

The Provisional Entitlement will remain on your licence until you are 45 years or for a minimum period of 5 years if you apply over the age of 40.

Your licence application may be refused or delayed by the DVLA if you have certain endorsements and points on your current licence. Please ask for further details.
